Open, renew or change a business license
Business licensing is administered by the Finance Department’s licensing division; license and permit fees are paid through WebPay. Tell us what you are opening and where, and the licensing team will reply with the application and fee schedule.

Convention center, Woodfield and 90 North
The Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center Hotel contributes roughly $43 million a year to the local economy; in 2025 it hosted an all-time high of 90 events with an estimated 450,000 attendees. Woodfield Mall, opened in 1971 with 59 stores, made Schaumburg a regional shopping destination, and the 325-acre 90 North district — with Andretti Indoor Karting & Games’ 90,000-square-foot venue — is where the next chapter is being built. The Business Development Commission advises the Village Board on all of it.
