Jams, jellies, baked goods, confections and prepared foods made from what is grown here all count. The clearest example is Bedré Fine Chocolate, the Chickasaw Nation’s own chocolate company, which sources native pecans directly from this programme.
The award also sets aside $475,000 to market climate-smart produce from this territory, which is aimed squarely at getting these products in front of buyers beyond Oklahoma.
