Southern Oklahoma Urban and Small Farm Hub
On Murray State College’s Ardmore campus, opened with the Oklahoma Conservation Commission, the Chickasaw Nation, the Oklahoma Association of Conservation Districts and the Arbuckle Conservation District. It is a resource site: technical assistance, farm planning, education and training, a farmers’ market and a teaching kitchen, with mini-grants available to producers.
It sits deliberately close to the college’s registered nursing programme, connecting agriculture and community health, and is aimed at increasing access to nutritious local produce while improving the economic footing of small farms.

The territory
The programme serves producers across the Chickasaw Nation treaty territory in south-central Oklahoma — including Bryan, Carter, Coal, Garvin, Grady, Jefferson, Johnston, Love, McClain, Marshall, Murray, Pontotoc and Stephens counties.
