Everything a producer needs to understand the programme: how verification works, who helps in the field, and where the training is.

This programme asks producers to change practice on ground they already farm. These are the people, tools and documents that make that practical rather than theoretical.

The WORMS verification tool

WORMS — Working on Regenerative Management Systems — is the field-data tool used to verify enrolled ground. It was built on ESRI Survey123 by Oklahoma NRCS and the Oklahoma Conservation Commission, and it records four physical measures on each visit: water infiltration, ground cover, soil structure and biomass.

That matters because it means your record is measurement, not paperwork. Verifiers are trained through Murray State College’s certification course, so the people walking your fields are trained locally.

Training runs through Murray State College and the Small Farm Hub.

Southern Oklahoma Urban and Small Farm Hub

A resource site on Murray State College’s Ardmore campus, opened with the Oklahoma Conservation Commission, the Chickasaw Nation, the Oklahoma Association of Conservation Districts and the Arbuckle Conservation District. It offers technical assistance, farm planning and education training, and includes a farmers’ market and a teaching kitchen. Producers can access mini-grants through the hub.
