Jamie Ray drops the “Cowboy Gangsta” remix with Peewee Longway
The Atlanta veteran joins the country-trap single on the deluxe edition of Ray's debut project.
On 27 February 2023 Jamie Ray released the official remix of “Cowboy Gangsta”, adding a verse from Peewee Longway, the Atlanta rapper whose name carries weight in the city the song is built around. The remix sits on the deluxe edition of Ray's debut project through Against Da Grain and Epic Records.
The original had already done the work. BroadwayWorld noted 6.7 million Spotify streams and 9.5 million YouTube views for the first version, part of a catalogue that had passed 30 million streams overall.
The feature is one of several that tell the story of Ray's lane. Young Thug co-signed him early, and the country-trap records have pulled in collaborators from Lil Baby and YoungBoy Never Broke Again to Bubba Sparxxx.
