Born Rivaldo Lyle, he came up in Clarendon and went to Vere Technical High School, and he was funny on the internet before he was serious in a booth — a comedian and actor posting skits under the name Valdomore.

"Darkniss" changed that in spring 2023. It cleared three million views on YouTube and a million and a half streams on Spotify, and it reached Fly Ty. By October 2024 he had his first international record deal: Epic Records, in partnership with Against Da Grain.
Billboard named him one of ten Caribbean artists to watch in 2025. He releases as 1Ski OG now — the name was taken overseas, and the OG is short for original.
