Jamie Ray's nine-track debut EP, released through Against Da Grain, Human Resources and Epic Records.
360 Magazine's October 2022 feature took Jamie Ray's genre at face value. Country Trap puts banjo and guitar over 808 drums, and the nine-track EP of the same name arrived through Against Da Grain, Human Resources and Epic Records.
The magazine tracked the numbers that made the EP a label priority: more than 30 million global audio streams and 20 million video views before the project dropped, with “Magic City Cowboy” alone past 8.4 million Spotify streams since 2021.
It also documented the company he keeps. A Young Thug co-sign came early, Lil Baby and YoungBoy Never Broke Again appear on the project, and a remix of Bubba Sparxxx's “Deliverance” connected the new lane to the Southern rap that came before it.
