Philmon Lee is from LaGrange, Georgia, and he named his debut EP after the area code he grew up inside. 706 arrived on Epic in 2021 — pop songwriting with the bones of classic soul and rock underneath it.

He has sung the national anthem at State Farm Arena for the Atlanta Hawks playoffs, competed on American Idol through 19 Recordings, and cut records with a violinist and a rapper in the same twelve months — Lindsey Stirling on "No Saving Me," then Young Thug on "Baby Don't Cry."
