1Ski OG returns with two new songs and a new stage name
Billboard sat down with the artist formerly known as 1SkiMask about the rebrand and his first records under it.
In 2025 Billboard spoke to the dancehall artist about a decision most artists avoid: changing the name that made him. 1SkiMask became 1Ski OG, and he marked the switch with a two-track bundle led by “Double Life” alongside “Feel Like”.
The interview covered why the name had to change as the audience widened beyond Jamaica, and how the new records keep the dancehall core while leaning into the trap production that his Epic Records deal opened up.
Against Da Grain treated the rebrand as a relaunch rather than a reset. The bundle was followed by “Stay To Mi Self” and the “Alter Ego” EP, and the artist's catalogue on the label now carries the 1Ski OG name throughout.
