Landforce opened a 10,000-square-foot facility that recovers fallen urban trees and mills them into kiln-dried lumber. Built out mostly in-house, with $800,000 of equipment secured and kilns installed with Pittsburgh Urban Tree, the opening was covered by 90.5 WESA (“Saw mill opens in Wilkinsburg to reclaim, harvest fallen urban trees”) and the Wilkinsburg Sun.

The 2025 report records the largest single-year planting in Landforce history with the Pittsburgh Canopy Alliance, work for 23 contract partners at 55 sites, more than 11,000 stewardship hours, and an 18-person cohort that earned 92 certificates despite federal grant terminations.

On its seventh anniversary Landforce announced that crews had delivered 57,775 hours of stewardship and 172 projects since 2016. By September 2026 the total has passed 91,000 hours.
