Fundraising infrastructure for BC's sport organizations

The BC Amateur Sport Fund (BCASF) is a philanthropic gift-giving program, previously known as the National Sport Trust Fund for the development of amateur sport on a national level. It raises funds for amateur sport initiatives in BC by partnering with Sport BC's Provincial Sport Organizations and their member clubs on projects that promote participation, competition or governance of sport.

BCASF is the BC chapter of the Canadian Council of Provincial & Territorial Sport Federations (CCPTSF), a Registered Canadian Amateur Athletic Association with charitable status established in 1980 (CRA program number 88938 6868 RR0001). Once a project is approved, the applicant can solicit donations for it and apply for grants from funds raised.

In 2025 the Fund raised $8.1 million for the benefit of 181 projects across 39 sports. As an RCAAA, BCASF can issue an official tax receipt for qualifying donations of $20 or more. Since 2019, it has processed more than $10 million in amateur sport donations.
