The Beethoven Symphony Cycle continues its exploration of the composer as Revolutionary. Exuberant, humorous, and bursting with energy, Beethoven’s Second Symphony highlights the composer’s zeal for life. After the break, his Symphony No. 7 was described by Wagner as “the Apotheosis of the Dance itself.” Together, these works embody vitality and rhythmic drive.
