Staff and volunteers will lead groups at different paces. Hike for Your Health is a wonderful opportunity to meet new people and get to know some of your parks better. All hikes are on natural trails. Please wear appropriate shoes for trails that may be muddy or slick. There is no registration deadline for this program. Join anytime!

LIFT UP focuses on six essential concepts to get us through trying times and boldly embrace life — Laugh, Inspire, Fellowship, Thrive, Uplift and Play. Each week, we will enjoy a laughter club, creative experience, group games and personal connection. This club is a fun and unique opportunity for adults to connect and develop tools against depression and isolation. Class will meet outside if the weather is favorable and will move indoors if necessary.

Your teen will help themselves to a full s'mores buffet! From the classic chocolate and marshmallows, to strawberries and cookie dough, we will mix and match s'mores toppings and determine the BEST way to build a s'more. After our campfire time, we will take a night hike through the meadows and see if we can spot any nocturnal wildlife in the park. Note: All food will be nut-free. If your child has an additional food allergy, they will be provided with alternative ingredients, but the allergen may still be present at this program.

All ages (recommended for ages 8 and up) Saturday, October 17 (Rain date: Saturday, October 24) 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. Bill Yeck Park, McGuffey Meadow 7893 Wilmington-Dayton Rd. This adapted hike welcomes all community members to enjoy a stunning hike through the meadows of Bill Yeck Park! An ASL interpreter will assist our naturalist in sharing facts about the wildlife, plants and ecosystems we will explore! This program is open to everyone, but is suggested for families with children who are 8 years old or older. Registration (one per family) is requested, but not required. Hike will be approximately 1.5 miles over natural terrain. This program is in partnership with Community Services for the Deaf Dayton. Did you know ASL interpretation can be requested for any CWPD program? Just make sure we are aware that this is a necessary accommodation for you.

Did you know just 20 minutes of exploring novel scents has the same enrichment benefits as an hour-long walk for dogs? Let's get those noses going! Join us for a self-guided hike through the trails of Bill Yeck Park, complete with sniff-stops along the way. Your dog will explore brand-new scents, and you get a beautiful fall hike with your best friend. Afterwards, treat your pup to a fall-themed pup-cup! Participants are welcome to come anytime during the program. The final time to start the hike is 5:30 p.m. Registration is not required.

Afterwards we will make a fruit-filled snack featuring fruits from mango to papaya! We will end the night with a screening of a beloved, ocean-filled movie. The best part? No school on Friday, November 13! Kick off your 3-day weekend with a splash!
